We require all clients to have a consultation before making their appointment. These are free of charge, and enable us to see if there are any scalp problems, allergies or anything that could prevent us from going ahead with your straightening.

We perform a quick skin test, applying some solution to an area of your skin. This is to check for any adverse reaction to the product this may take up to 24 hours, so please let us know if you experience any discomfort or redness. Upon completion of your consultation we require a £50 deposit to secure all the bookings. This is non-refundable, unless three working days are given to change or cancel your appointment. It also gives you, the client, the chance to ask us any questions you may have. We only give accurate prices during the consultation, not over the phone. Please remember, you cannot have Yuko done until 48 hours after your skin test. This will ensure no allergic reaction to any of our products.

If you are unable to turn up a consultation, you can send us three pictures of yourself, with your hair naturally dried and not styled. This way we can see your hairs natural state, frizz or curl intensity.

Terms & Conditions 1. All customers are strongly advised to consult with their General Practitioner / Physician prior to any consultation / appointment to clarify that they are suitable for the treatment. The Salon will not accept responsibility for any condition that may occur during / following the treatment for failing to do so. 2. No appointments will be accepted without a £50.00 deposit payment at the time of booking. 3. Appointments should be made within 30 days of the initial consultation otherwise a secondary consultation will be required. 4. A skin test must be taken at all consultations or prior to the initial treatment for returning customers who have not had a secondary consultation. 5. Customers must notify The Salon if they suffer any allergic reaction / irritation after a skin test. The Salon will not accept responsibility for any condition that may occur during / following the treatment for failing to do so. 6. Customers must notify The Salon prior to their treatment if they have had any chemical processes done to their hair between the consultation and the treatment appointment. The Salon will not accept responsibility for any condition that may occur during / following the treatment for failing to do so. 7. All appointment cancellations will incur a £10.00 cancellation charge from the deposit. However, in the instance of late cancellations and changes, these must be notified to The Salon a minimum of three working days prior to the appointment. Failure to do so will incur the following charges against your deposit £50. Please Note: There will be no exceptions made to these charge! 8. In the event of a situation arising when the circumstances are beyond the control of The Salon, it may be necessary to contact the customer at short notice to re-schedule / cancel an appointment. In these circumstances, late cancellation / change charges will not apply and customers who choose to cancel their appointment rather than re-schedule will be refunded their deposit in full. However, The Salon will not be responsible for the refund of any travel or other expenses incurred by the customer. 9. If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with the service provided, you must notify The Salon within 10 working days of your treatment to book an appointment for a hair check. Under no circumstances should you undergo any chemical / non-chemical treatments or haircuts at home or at another salon before The Salon Technician has had the chance to assist with your query. 10. The Salon reserves the right to make price changes, as it deems necessary.
